Creating a relationship between the figure in a photograph and the background elements helps create a strong focal point. In the first photo the Brooklyn bridge is the focus and the buses and buildings are the back ground that help elevate the bridge. In the second picture the frog is the center point but the back ground helps camouflage the frog. In the third photo the couple is the figure and the crowd is what help facilitate the photo as a whole. In the forth photo the people are the figures and the sunset is the back ground and I think the compliment each other really well.
